Heaven's Muse is a fantastical exploration of the fine art nude. The eponymous Muse, Marina, features as the star character and central inspiration of her project: "Marina is an inspirational model to work with -- a perfectly sculpted fantasy heroine that comes to life in front of the camera! Her pose, character and essence feed the imagination." The diverse combination of mixed media from digital and analogue to paint and collage creates a layered depth to her work. She uses her camera to capture the expressive essence of her subject followed by the transmogrified digital abstraction she refers to as the 'layering of realities'. This is where the model is suspended in time and a story begins to take place. A collage of nature, landscape, architecture and other earthly objects are placed forming a mandala around the figure. The process is completed by the intricate dance of her brush over the printed canvas, forming molecular patterns, dots and expressive line work acting almost as a guide for the eye to move freely throughout the image.
